... a new apartment, a new (smaller) winter garden with table and chairs, a new sofa with new pillows - and no matching chair cushions far and wide! Yes, that started my quilting experience, pure necessity! The first materials were more robust, which proved to be fortuitous because it made the pillows are still alive today. A Quilt Shop? I did not think such a thing exists! But the first chair cushion - in the Shoo-Fly Pattern (as I now know), because the easiest was - have between time been joined (with increasing difficulty), and now all available seating my apartment, of course, with self-stitched pillow adorned! Long time ago ... I moved into a new flat, got a new couch with a new pillow design - and no matching chair pillows all around! That was the time I started my Quilters Life! Fabrics were very robust - but they are still alive Therefore! My first pattern was a Shoo Fly (I know today), it was the easiest pattern I could find! Today certainly all my seats are covered with self-made pillows. The last ones are my kitchen pillows, and I sew this matching wall hanging - but there's a lot of time and exercise between the first pillow and the wall hanging!
